Customer Comments

We have a top-of-the-line  APQS Millennium machine.  The machine is guided by hand, and has a stitch regulator to maintain even stitch lengths.  We carry a wide variety of specialty threads and battings to add that special something to your quilt work.

We do mostly freehand quilting, with minimal marking on your quilt.  We enjoy exercising artistic freedom that will best suit your quilt.  A comprehensive consultation is given at the time we meet with you about your quilt.

Prices

Pricing is based on the type of quilting you desire on your quilt.  The denser and more decorative quilting will cost more than the allover meandering quilting.  This price list is based on that sliding scale.  There are no extra thread or batting charges.  Batting is not included in the price, and we have many types to choose from.

Consultation

You will be asked questions when we receive your quilt and we talk about what type of quilting and thread and batting combination will complete the vision you have for your work.  All quilts at all pricing levels receive the same careful consideration.  All these questions help to determine the type of thread chosen, the batting recommendation, and the level of quilting.   This is based on many years of training and knowledge of the performance of various materials that go into your quilt.  Examples of questions are:

Documenting your quilt is an important part of your quilt’s history. Put your name, the name of your machine quilter if you did not do it yourself, the date, for whom it was made, where the idea for the quilt came from (book title, artist, show, etc), and other information you think is important to the quilt. The quilt owner will thank you.
