About the Quilt Diva

The Quilt Diva is my  muse, and I'm Deb Cannon.   I spent a good number of years being very serious and climbing the utterly meaningless corporate ladder.  The Diva helped me realize there was another way to live - doing what I love!
 
I teach computer adult education classes part time at  Kirkwood Community College.    I love being part of the learning process for people learning about new professions.  Click here for my schedule.
 
Photography is a major hobby.  I see the world through my lens and freeze a moment in time with my camera.   Plants and people are favorites.  Especially my own garden.
 
Gardening is another hobby.  I've been an Iowa State Master Gardener since 1999.  
 
I've recently taken up knitting, crochet, and beading.  Here's some of my work.  Enjoy!

I've been married to Jim Cannon since 1990.  He's a realtor after almost 40 years of information technology, his web page is here.  He's got 2 boys (grown men, actually) and 2 grandkids (3 counting an almost grandkid).  I'm a Grandma without ever being a mother!  Here they are, loves of my life:
